Properties sought as BuyAssist kicks off in Victoria

UDIA Victoria welcomes the establishment of BuyAssist, an innovative shared-equity affordable home ownership program rolling out across Melbourne with the support of the State Government.

Established by the National Affordable Housing Consortium (NAHC), BuyAssist provides opportunities for local developers to support home ownership aspirations of lower and moderate income Victorians who are otherwise locked out of the market.

The NAHC is now seeking expressions of interest from developers who have newly completed properties and soon to be completed properties for inclusion in its sales program. NAHC is also interested in properties that could be suitable for its affordable RentAssist program.

Under this program NAHC will source qualified investors to complete the property purchase, with NAHC managing the ongoing rental arrangements.
