UDIA Women in Property Committee proudly present Dissecting a Development Site Tours | Aurora Hosted by Lendlease, Alicia Davidge

Aurora is a master planned community within the City of Whittlesea, acquired by Lendlease in 2014. Located 25km north of Melbourne and spanning over two postcodes Epping and Wollert, Aurora is a 600-hectare development with 6,000 to 7,000 lots. When completed Aurora will be home for over 20,000 people and will provide a wealth of amenities including 4 new schools, 2 town centres, 3 community centres, 100+ hectares of open space, transport corridor, 2 new stations and a commercial precinct.

Aurora is not a typical greenfield development site as it sits within the established Development Victoria development. There are a myriad of development challenges on the project including ground conditions, planning regime (Aurora Development Plan) and a comprehensive Commonwealth environmental approval spanning over 30 years.

Presentations by:

  • Alicia Davidge (SDM, Lendlease) – project overview
  • Lachlan Moore (Sales Consultant) – sales and market update
  • Kristin Campbell (Ecology Consultant) – overview of complex EPBC approval and the environmental challenges for the project
  • Kim Kyle (Senior Urban Designer, Lendlease) – overview of planning, Aurora is not in a PSP area and has a Development Plan over it.

The Tour will begin at:

9.30am, arrival at the Aurora Sales & Information Centre, 1 Timbarra Way, Wollert

Presentation will take place in the sales office with potential to undertake a 30 minute walk around the project

I have been involved in the property and development industry for nearly 15 years and I am passionate about urban renewal and creating places and communities where people want to work, live and play.
I have had vast experience across the public and private property sectors in Adelaide and more recently in Melbourne that has given me a broad range of exposure to varying governance and commercial structures. I have worked predominantly on inner city and urban infill projects with my most recent role leading a development team delivering over 3,000 new allotments in the northern corridor of Melbourne. I have a passion for the development industry and enjoy being able to see communities grow, develop and thrive. I also ensure that I continue to be an inspiring leader in this industry and take pride in encouraging and mentoring young professionals as they come through the industry.
