what Women In Property Developments Tour - SOLD OUT
where Main Drive Kew, Sackville Grange, One East Melbourne, MCEC, Hilton Hotel South Wharf
when 8.45am - 4.30pm (approx)
about The 2009 Women In Property Developments Tour, sponsored by the City of Whittlesea will be focusing on Inner Melbourne where some of the world’s finest developments are making an indelible mark on the landscape around the city and inner suburbs. MAIN DRIVE KEW For that touch of what’s old and what’s new there is no better place than the UDIA award-winning Main Drive Kew where what were once Kew Cottages have been transformed into a neighbourhood that is as modern as tomorrow. Joint venture partners Walker Corporation and Major Projects Victoria, have grown this site into a community of prestige homes, apartments and community facilities within the Studley Park precinct. SACKVILLE GRANGE Sackville Grange, developed by FKP Property Group, provides 5-star luxury accommodation for those wanting to enjoy later years in elegant and comfortable surroundings. It was the undisputed winner of UDIA’s 2008 Awards for Excellence in the ‘Special Purpose Living’ category, and somewhat naturally, its architects received the coveted ‘Consultant’s Award.’ ONE EAST MELBOURNE One of Melbourne’s foremost developers, the Becton Property Group, will play host to our third stay-over with its iconic One East Melbourne project. The recently completed inner city landmark has been geared towards the high end market and includes an eighteen level premium residential tower and four level commercial office development. LUNCH Take time out from the tour and enjoy a relaxing lunch at the revamped Prince Patrick Hotel. MELBOURNE EXHIBITION AND CONVENTION CENTRE Stretching half a kilometre along the Yarra River, the MCEC is Australia’s premier convention centre, setting new world benchmarks as the first convention centre to be awarded a ‘6 Star Green Star’ rating. As well as breathtaking views—both inside and out—the centre plays a critical part in the city’s $1.4 billion entertainment, retail and residential development in Melbourne’s newest waterfront precinct. HILTON HOTEL SOUTH WHARF As its name suggests this newcomer to the Hilton Hotel chain lies in the dynamic South Wharf precinct and showcases a spectacular new perspective of our city….the heart of ‘new’ Melbourne. Our exclusive tour of the hotel’s guestrooms will be so impressive and inviting that you’ll be very tempted indeed. This is where Sotano Wine and Tapas Bar fits in as the perfect setting for delegates and anyone else for that matter to enjoy a glass and delicious Barcelona-style tapas.
