Modus Operandi
The Institute is administered by an elected Board of Directors representing members. This Board defines policy and sets objectives to be carried out by its secretariat and by the various committees drawn from the Board and other members.
Members of the Board sit on, or are represented at government and industry allied organizations.
The Board directs the preparation of submissions to all tiers of Government with the aim of keeping the government aware of industry problems and needs.
Meetings, forums, seminars and addresses are organised for members, their guests and friends at regular intervals through each year.
The secretariat communicates with members through its newsletters and "Urban Affairs".
The Institute has a number of internal committees related to technical, legislative and economic matters, from which reports and guidance for further action are taken.
